A Euro football expert made his astonishment clear live on air over the latest West Ham transfer move as he waxes lyrical about ‘great signing’ Mohammed Kudus.
If the anticipation and excitement surrounding West Ham’s capture of Mohammed Kudus was not already at fever pitch, wait until you read this.
Of course it wouldn’t be a West Ham transfer saga without some 11th hour scare stories.
And in the days leading up to West Ham making Kudus’ move from Ajax official, there was speculation that other clubs, including those in mega rich Saudi Arabia and Premier League rivals, were going to try and hijack the move for the 23-year-old.

We know Chelsea enquired about signing Kudus last month – as confirmed by David Ornstein.
And in West Ham’s official announcement of the Kudus capture, the club confirmed competition was fierce for the Ghana star.
“The Hammers fought off intense competition from some of Europe’s leading clubs to secure the services of the exciting Ghana international attacker from Ajax,” West Ham said in a statement.
It is being seen as one of the most exciting West Ham signings since Dimitri Payet.
Rival fans have been almost universal in their praise – and envy – of West Ham’s business following the signings of Kudus, Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse and Dinos Mavropanos.
And a Euro football expert was astonished live on air over the latest West Ham transfer move as he waxes lyrical about ‘great signing’ Kudus.

‘With respect to West Ham…’
Kevin Hatchard is a man with extensive knowledge of Europe’s other top leagues, clubs and players.
And speaking live on Sky Sports on Sunday, Hatchard complimented West Ham saying they have pulled off a major coup by snaring coveted Kudus.
“It’s a real coup this,” Hatchard said on Sky Sports News’ Transfer Talk at 1.25pm on Sunday.
“I must admit I thought, with all respect to West Ham, I did think bigger clubs – not just in the Premier League but elsewhere – were going to really take a swing at trying to get Kudus because he’s somebody that’s not only shown that he can shine in the Champions League against quality opposition, but he’s done it in the World Cup as well.

‘That’s a great signing for West Ham’
“I think he can give you depth in different positions, I think he’s someone who, even when a game is drifting he can make something happen (by) hitting shots from range, come up with a brilliant cross, beat a few players – there are so many ways in which he can hurt the opposition.
“The only question is consistency, that’s always been the accusation levelled against him. But I think that’s a great signing for West Ham.”
When pressed on where Kudus may be used best, Hatchard said he could shine driving through midfield or on the wing.
But he points out that he could do some serious damage as a forward too.
