Carlos Soler to West Ham United is a transfer story that is refusing to go away.

And now on transfer deadline day, a big update has been provided regarding West Ham United’s hopes of finally bringing Carlos Soler to the London Stadium.

It has been claimed that the only reason why Carlos Soler hasn’t joined West Ham yet is because Nayef Aguerd is refusing to leave.

The Hammers have one final shot at turning a 9/10 window into the perfect 10, and bringing the Spaniard to the club would be a superb end to the summer.

Julen Lopetegui has worked wonders at the London Stadium this summer, but the West Ham head coach needs to make at least one more top quality signing, if he is to guide us to success on all fronts this season.

The Hammers fans are buzzing with excitement about what the future holds for us, and Lopetegui has insisted that he’s after even more new signings.

However, the Spaniard will have to get rid of some of the fringe players first, before he can even think about making any new signings.

And now it seems like Soler joining is a very real possibility.

So the former Valencia man is apparently itching to join the Hammers before the summer transfer window closes.

In order for that to happen though, it’s well-known that Lopetegui has to shift some of the deadwood first.

So with that in mind, the latest update on the Soler situation is a hugely exciting one for West Ham.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest are in active talks to sign West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse before tonight’s 11pm deadline.

And if that deal does go through, it could be key to the Hammers bringing Carlos Soler to the London Stadium.

Ward-Prowse out, Soler in would be a huge upgrade for West Ham

Selling Ward-Prowse today will be crucially important to our hopes of bringing Soler into the club.

The Spaniard is on another level entirely to the 29-year-old Hammers what with his incredible technical ability, movement, and creativity inside the final third.

Carlos Soler joining West Ham would be a transformative move from the club, and moving James Ward-Prowse on before tonight’s 11pm deadline will help us make it happen.

The PSG star would provide proper competition and cover for Lucas Paqueta, and he’d offer us something different in the middle of the park.

The Ligue 1 giants are demanding around £20 million for the 27-year-old midfielder – exceptional value if you ask me.

Let’s just hope that West Ham manage to make the deal happen on deadline day.
