However, the Spaniard will have to get rid of some of the fringe players first, before he can even think about making any new signings.

If he manages to get rid of the players who are of no use to us anymore, then it will free up space for him to bring in some new arrivals.

With the clock ticking down, and just 14 hours left before the window slams shut, the Hammers are frantically working to get some deals over the line.

If the likes of Nayef Aguerd, James Ward-Prowse, Maxwel Cornet and Danny Ings leave today, we can expect a couple of new signings.

And one player in particular is needed desperately at the London Stadium.

Carlos Soler is someone who’s been heavily linked with a move to West Ham already this summer, but a deal has still not been struck.

Now Give Me Sport are claiming that the 27-year-old Spaniard is itching to join the Hammers before tonight’s deadline.

However, West Ham will have to meet PSG’s £20 million demands in order to make that happen.

Carlos Soler perfect for West Ham

The former Valencia star is technically brilliant, has an incredible range of passing and possesses the ability to break the lines with his wonderful vision.

It’s a huge concern for the Hammers that when Lucas Paqueta doesn’t play, we don’t possesses any kind of creativity or guile in the middle of the park.

So if Soler comes into the club, we have another great option who can not only cover for Paqueta, but play alongside the Brazilian if need be as well.

The Spain international has excelled everywhere he’s been, although he hasn’t been given enough regular game-time in Paris.

West Ham signing Carlos Soler on transfer deadline day would be the ideal outcome for all parties involved.

However, whether or not the Hammers are able to shift the deadwood first in order to free up funds to bring the 27-year-old to the London Stadium remains to be seen.
