Fabrizio Romano has declared the likely winner between West Ham and Spurs to sign the ‘new Neymar’ Antonio Nusa.

Neymar may be considered ‘washed up’ nowadays but West Ham and rivals Tottenham Hotspur are battling to sign the “next one”.

It was reported on Friday that Tottenham had launched a bid to hijack West Ham’s move for Norway wonderkid Antonio Nusa.

Now according to a prominent football transfer insider, one club has very much taken the box seat.

Romano declares likely winner between West Ham and Spurs

Fabrizio Romano has declared the likely winner between West Ham and Spurs for ‘new Neymar’ Nusa.

And it is bad news for the Hammers with crunch talks scheduled between Tottenham and Nusa’s side Club Brugge to get a deal done.

There will be a caveat for Spurs, though.

Because Nusa will remain in Belgium for the rest of the season before joining Tottenham in July.

Romano also claims Spurs ramped up their efforts when realising how serious other interest was from the likes of West Ham.

“Understand Antonio Nusa deal will enter into key stages soon as there’s new round of talks scheduled between Tottenham and Club Brugge,” Romano said.

Spurs take box seat for ‘new Neymar’ Nusa

“Spurs know about other clubs interest and want to push ASAP.

“Nusa does NOT want to leave now… but deal could be agreed for July.”

It’s a bitter blow for West Ham made worse by the fact it is their rivals Tottenham who have beaten them to a talent who has been scouted by Tim Steidten.

The Hammers have been linked with the Norwegian sensation who has been compared to as reported by the likes The Athletic.

David Moyes is very much looking to sign an attacking midfielder who can play off the left. And he has been linked with former Tottenham flop Jack Clarke to that end.

But a move for 18-year-old Nusa has been touted of late. No sooner had that news hit the transfer rumour mill, though, than Spurs were all over it.

Now it seems West Ham will have to look elsewhere with Said Benrahma set to leave soon.
