Gianluca Nani worked as a scout and transfer negotiator for the Hammers from the summer of 2008 until February 2010 under then manager Gianfranco Zola.
And the Italian has now given some transfer advice to current West Ham manager David Moyes, as quoted by Radio Firenze Viola:
He has all the characteristics to play in England. (Milenkovic has the) perfect physical characteristics for West Ham. I see him as excellent for the Hammers. They should look for him. I don’t know if it will happen in January.
I agree with Nani. Milenkovic would be the perfect January addition for West Ham in my opinion.
That sounds like an absolute bargain to me.
The Serb is a top-class centre-back. He was magnificent for La Viola last season. Described as an ‘extraordinary defender’ by x-sport news, Milenkovic is a truly elite centre-back.
Meanwhile, back in 2018, ESPN described the Fiorentina star as ‘unstoppable’.
In 34 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina last term, the 24-year-old averaged 1.6 tackles, 1.1 interceptions and 2.7 clearances per match. He also won an average of 2.9 aerial duels per game (Who Scored).
Milenkovic is very comfortable with the ball at his feet as well. During his 34 league outings last season, he made 60.3 passes on average per game and recorded an incredibly impressive completion rate of 90.4% (Who Scored).
The Serbian has absolutely everything needed to succeed in the Premier League.
