ESPN Brazil issue major update on West Ham move for striker Yuri Alberto after reported Tim Steidten talks.
After officially unveiling exciting star Mohammed Kudus at the weekend, West Ham are said to have quickly switched their focus to signing a striker before the summer transfer window closes on Friday.
The Hammers have been linked with a plethora of forwards since the sale of Gianluca Scamacca to Atalanta.
West Ham striker Danny Ings is being linked with a move to Everton while Michail Antonio continues to be target for Saudi Arabian clubs according to new reports.
David Moyes and Tim Steidten are said to be assessing several options for the striker role.
Talks have reportedly been held with PSG outcast Hugo Ekitike and Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri.
And yesterday there were claims from KUMB that Steidten has flown to Brazil to explore a deal for forward Yuri Alberto.

The likes of The Daily Mail have since also claimed Steidten headed to South America to discuss a potential move with Corinthians for one-capped Brazil striker Alberto.
West Ham were linked with a move for Alberto as far back as June last year in a report from UOL.
Now ESPN Brazil have issued a major update on the West Ham move for striker Alberto after reported Steidten talks.
And it’s not good news.
ESPN Brazil claims that officials from Corinthians and West Ham did indeed discuss the possibility of negotiating over Alberto.
But it has been rejected out of hand by the Brazilian club who do not want to lose any more key players. And the report states talks are over.
“ESPN learned that Corinthians and West Ham officials discussed the possibility of negotiating Yuri Alberto recently,” the report states.

“The English are in a hurry to close the deal, since the transfer window in the country closes next Friday (1st).
“West Ham made a proposal official for the Corinthians number 9, but the Brazilian team rejected it immediately. The club’s intention is not to lose any more players, even more so in a position that offers extra difficulty to replace in the market.
“So, on Timão’s side, talks with West Ham are over. It remains to be seen whether the London team will try one last card for the final days of the window.”
One avenue West Ham may explore while in Brazil is that of Flamengo striker Pedro.
Journalist Alan Nixon claimed yesterday West Ham remain interested in a player who has been linked with them over the last few months and last summer.
And there may also be a clever ulterior motive to signing Pedro, who is also a very close friend of Lucas Paqueta.
One striker deal that may still be on for the Hammers, though, is that of Ekitike, according to journalists in two different countries.
