Door open for West Ham as Benoit Badiashile reportedly dreams of Premier League move

West Ham United target Benoit Badiashile is allegedly dreaming of a move to the Premier League from Monaco this summer.

That’s according to GFNF who claim that Monaco are demanding around €40 million (£34 million) for the talented 21-year-old centre-back.

Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the brilliant young Frenchman to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window according to the likes of Calciomercato and Foot Mercato.

Signing a top-class central defender is obviously one of Moyes’s main priorities this summer.

It could actually be argued that the Hammers need another centre-back though, with Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson now 34 and 32 respectively and the jury still much out on Issa Diop regarding whether he is actually good enough to be playing regular football at the highest level.

And if Moyes does decide to sign another centre-back as well as Aguerd, it seems as though the path could be clear for the Scot to bring a truly elite defender to the London Stadium…

Door open for West Ham to sign Badiashile

The Monaco centre-back dreams of moving to the Premier League according to GFNF.

And signing the French defender is an opportunity that the Hammers cannot afford to miss out on.

He has been described as a brilliant young talent by well-renowned Total Football Analysis.

In 24 Ligue 1 outings for Monaco this season, the young Frenchman averaged 1.5 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 2.8 clearances and 2.4 successful aerial duels per game (Who Scored).

The 21-year-old comes into his own when it comes to technique, composure and ability with the ball at his feet. He made 57.3 passes on average per match this season and recorded a completion rate of 87.9% (Who Scored).

He is renowned for making line breaking, progressive passes through the centre of the opposition’s midfield and its absolutely brilliant at beating the press.

£34 million sounds like outstanding value for the Monaco ace.

And if West Ham sign Badiashile as well as Aguerd, we will be well sorted in the centre-back department for years to come.
