The door is allegedly now wide open for West Ham United to sign Marseille forward Bamba Dieng before transfer deadline day.

That’s according to a report from RMC Sport who claim that Marseille want to sell the 22-year-old to an English club this summer.

West Ham boss David Moyes allegedly wants to bring Dieng to the London Stadium this summer, and he apparently could be available for just £10 million.

Moyes has already added Gianluca Scamacca to his ranks but it could be argued that the Scot needs to bring in at least one more attacker, if he is to guide his Hammers side to a successful 2022/23 campaign on all fronts.

And it seems as though he has a great chance to do exactly that for a very reasonable price indeed…

Door open for West Ham to sign Bamba Dieng

RMC Sport reckon that Marseille are really keen to sell the 22-year-old to an English club in order to ease their financial woes.

And the Hammers really shouldn’t hesitate to bring him to the Premier League.

Dieng is a really exciting young talent and has so much potential.

He has been described as the new Didier Drogba by Get Football News France.

The Senegalese forward bagged seven goals and three assists in 25 Ligue 1 games for Marseille last season (Transfermarkt).

Dieng possesses blistering pace, has fantastic movement and is a nightmare for opposing defenders. He is a pretty good finisher as well.

Ligue 1’s official website describe the Marseille forward as ‘very fast’ and he’s been labelled as ‘absolutely rapid’ as well.

The Marseille starlet is far from the finished article. There are a lot of improvements that he needs to make in his game. And some might say that there are no guarantees of him succeeding in the Premier League.

We believe that £10 million is a very fair price for the Hammers to pay though.

Bamba Dieng can play anywhere along the frontline and would provide strong cover and competition for all of the West Ham attackers.

He certainly has the kind of pace that would make him very effective in the Hammers’ current setup.

And if Moyes brings Dieng to the London Stadium before the transfer window closes, we think that West Ham will have a very exciting group of attacking players who should enable us to compete on all fronts this season.
