Chelsea eyeing up a move to sign Chivas forward Alexis Vega is great news for West Ham United in our continued pursuit of Armando Broja.

El Universal claim that Chelsea boss Graham Potter is keen to bring the 25-year-old Mexico international to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.

Now, I believe this could be good news for Hammers manager David Moyes.

The Scot allegedly wants to bring Chelsea hitman Armando Broja to the London Stadium.

The Albanian is already far from a regular starter at Stamford Bridge, and if Potter brings Vega to Chelsea, he will be even further down the pecking order.

So Moyes should be hoping that Chelsea win the race for the 26-capped Mexico international this winter…

Door may be open for West Ham to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja

El Universal claims that the forward is desperate to leave Mexico to play his football in Europe, and Chelsea have ‘shown interest’ in signing him.

Vega played all three matches for Mexico at the World Cup out in Qatar this winter.

He is a lively forward who can play literally anywhere along the front-line, although he is at his best when cutting in onto his right foot from the left hand side.

During his career with Deportivo Guadalajara, also known as Chivas, the 25-year-old has bagged 24 goals and 23 assists in 121 games (Transfermarkt).

El Futbolero claim that he could be available for around $10 million (£8 million) in January.

And if Chelsea bring the Mexican to west London, Moyes shouldn’t not hesitate to sign Broja.

I would love the 21-year-old Chelsea ace at the club.

He has been described as an ‘exceptional’ striker by The Athletic. Meanwhile, One Football label him as ‘lethal’. And Albania coach Sergio Porrini called him ‘devastating’.

Broja seems to be ideally suited to West Ham and considering the way in which he stretches the opposition with tireless runs into the channels, it’s easy to see why Moyes wants to sign him.

The Chelsea owned ace is strong, quick and is a really, really good finisher. Broja bagged nine goals and one assist in 36 games for Southampton last term (Transfermarkt).

It is his all around game that has been the most impressive thing about him though. The way in which he holds up the ball with his back to goal and brings others into play has been truly magnificent to watch.

The striker absolutely tore the Hammers apart last season, bagging one goal and one assist in three appearances against us. He gave our defenders nightmares and was a total menace to our back line during all three clashes.

If West Ham bring Broja to the London Stadium from Chelsea in the January transfer window, it will undoubtedly end up being a truly massive signing for the club.
