Julen Lopetegui could well have a big problem on his hands at West Ham, heading into the final few days of the summer transfer window.
West Ham are a proper club now with Julen Lopetegui at the helm, and he has already made huge changes having been with us for only seven or eight weeks.
The Hammers head coach wants even more new arrivals though, and is demanding two top-class players in every single position.
However, the Spaniard must shift some of the deadwood first this summer, before he can make that happen.
Lopetegui’s squad at the London Stadium is a very strong one, but in order to make it even better before the window closes, some players must be moved on.
Moves for Carlos Soler and Tammy Abraham are apparently in the pipeline, so raising funds over the next few days will be key for the Hammers.
Its seems like disaster has struck for Lopetegui and West Ham though…
Disaster for Julen Lopetegui after West Ham man’s transfer decision
The Spaniard will undoubtedly be a busy man in the final few days of the summer transfer window.
The Hammers head coach needs to bring in a couple more top-class players but he also needs to move on at least three or four as well.

And that’s why the latest claim about one of our squad players is such a big blow for the gaffer.
According to a report from The Guardian, centre-back Nayef Aguerd has rejected a move to an unnamed Bundesliga club late on in the transfer window.
The Moroccan defender is one of our most sellable assets, and he should be able to fetch a fee in excess of £20 million.
The Hammers are said to be actively seeking buyers for Nayef Aguerd, so that tells us all we need to know about what Lopetegui thinks of the centre-back.
West Ham signed Nayef Aguerd from Rennes in the summer of 2022 for around £30 million.
The 28-year-old has desperately struggled with the physicality of the Premier League, and it’s clear to see that Lopetegui wants him gone from the London Stadium.
The Spaniard is on the cusp of having a top six squad at the London Stadium, it just needs a few minor adjustments.
Nayef Aguerd isn’t good enough for West Ham, considering the clear ambition of Lopetegui, and where the 57-year-old wants to take us.
Hopefully we’re able to move him on before the transfer window slams shut at 11pm on Friday August 30th.
