West Ham United ace Declan Rice could be teammates with a world class striker next season in a £167 million deal.

That’s according to a new claim from Team Talk and The Sun which West Ham fans won’t like to hear.

According to Team Talk’s report – which has also been picked by up The Sun – Manchester United are planning a ‘stunning double raid’ on West Ham and Borussia Dortmund for Erling Haaland and Rice next summer.

Report suggests Man United willing to pay £100m Rice asking price for first time

And for the first time the report suggests Man United will be willing to meet West Ham’s reported £100m asking price for Rice.

It is well known that Haaland’s Dortmund release clause halves from around £134m to £67m next summer.

And the combined fee mentioned for West Ham hero Rice and the world’s hottest striker property is £167m.

West Ham fans won’t like what they read in the report.

Report claims Rice could be teammates with world class striker Haaland next season but West Ham fans won’t like to hear it

“The 22-year-old England star has three years left on his Hammers contract but is said to want to leave the club to join United,” The Sun claims.

“He’s said to be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s No.1 midfield target and United’s hierarchy have already sat down to discuss what needs to be done to push the transfer through.”

Even if the reports are true, there are no worries at West Ham over Rice’s focus if recent performances are anything to go by.

No concerns over Rice commitment as Hammers hero shows just how much he cares

The midfielder scored a brilliant solo goal to help West Ham to a memorable 2-0 away win in their first bona fide European match for 15 years a couple of weeks ago.

And he provided a last minute assist for Michail Antonio to score the winner in a 2-1 victory at Leeds yesterday.

If Man United pay the money then so be it, but serious doubts Solskjaer will even be Red Devils boss by then

Thumping his chest, the captain showed what it means to him to be leading West Ham.

And West Ham fans would argue Rice is already playing with a world class striker in the shape of the Premier League’s player of the month Antonio right now.

If Man United want to meet Rice’s valuation next summer so be it.

But there must be serious doubts that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will even be the manager at Old Trafford by Christmas let alone next summer given Man United’s poor start to the season.

In the meantime West Ham will enjoy every moment of having him lead the fantastic team David Moyes has put together.
