The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has offered an update after West Ham made a move for Man United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
West Ham and Manchester United have been busy signing exciting Brazil internationals.
Man United are on the verge of landing Antony from Ajax while West Ham yesterday completed the club record signing of his Brazil teammate Lucas Paqueta from Lyon.

Paqueta was former Man United boss David Moyes’ eighth signing of the summer and takes West Ham’s spending close to the £180m mark this summer.
But it seems he is not done there with reports abound that he wants a Man United outcast next.
On the face of it, West Ham seem well stocked in the right-back area with Vladimir Coufal, Ben Johnson and young Harrison Ashby.

Meanwhile new signing Thilo Kehrer can also play there if needed.
Nonetheless the Hammers have approached the Red Devils for fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka according to reports.
Now David Ornstein has offered an update after West Ham made a move for Manchester United star Wan-Bissaka.
Ornstein has confirmed Man United have received approaches from West Ham and Wan-Bissaka’s old club Crystal Palace for the defender.

But The Athletic journalist says he believes West Ham and Patrick Vieira have been turned down.
“Manchester United have received approaches from Crystal Palace and West Ham United about the possibility of signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka, The Athletic understands,” Ornstein writes for The Athletic.
“It is believed that both advances were turned down as the Old Trafford club do not intend to sell or loan the 24-year-old right-back before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

“If Wan-Bisssaka was to depart a replacement would be required, to ensure manager Erik ten Hag has two options in that position. There is little expectation of that happening at this late stage.Wan-Bissaka moved to Old Trafford three years ago in a deal worth £50 million.”
So it seems Ornstein is not completely ruling out the possibility that West Ham can sign Wan-Bissaka from Man United before Thursday’s deadline.
But it seems highly unlikely unless Man United sign a player in that position themselves.
