David Moyes will leave fans baffled with his response to a transfer question in the wake of the West Ham injury crisis.
As far as player availability goes right now it’s fair to say West Ham are in something of a crisis.
After experiencing some rare fortune with injuries over the last couple of seasons, they are starting to stack up for the Hammers.
If West Ham had a game this week they would be without AFCON duo Mohammed Kudus and Nayef Aguerd – who will both be away until next month.

5 injured, 2 away, 1 gone
And David Moyes would also be without injured quintet Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Vladimir Coufal and Michail Antonio.
Paqueta and Bowen have been sent for scans suggesting their injuries are not simply knocks.
Mavropanos looks like he may have suffered a shoulder or rib injury.
And Antonio’s setback will keep him out until next month too.
Throw in the concerns over the durability of Kurt Zouma’s knee and his availability limitations along with Thilo Kehrer’s departure and it’s easy to see why supporters are concerned.

Moyes leaves fans baffled with response over transfers
West Ham’s back-up players have already proved on multiple occasions they are not up to the task.
The latest evidence being some of the performances in the 1-1 draw with Championship Bristol City in the FA Cup which has added yet another game to the fixture list.
Luckily for the Hammers the January transfer window is open, Tim Steidten has his jet waiting and the most senior source inside the club has confirmed to Hammers News ‘anything is possible‘.
So Moyes will leave fans baffled with his response to a transfer question in the wake of the West Ham injury crisis.

‘I don’t think so’
“I don’t think so, I don’t think it (the injury pile-up) would necessarily play a part,” Moyes told The Evening Standard.
“Obviously, if we’re going to lose people long-term but I’ve not heard anything to suggest anybody’s severe.”
While that’s encouraging news, Moyes is deluding himself if he thinks the injuries to so many key players does not expedite the need for signings.
West Ham already needed a new forward, centre-back and full-back before he had a spate of players ruled out.
So the Hammers certainly do now.
Of course injury crisus expedites need for signings
The Scot is right to resist panic buying any old player for the sake of it. But we know West Ham have targets for those positions. So it is about getting deals done and sometimes – especially at this time of year – you may have to pay over the odds.
But if it helps West Ham maintain a top six place and compete in the latter stages of the Europa League or go on an FA Cup run then it will be more than worth it.
If the Hammers do nothing and are missing even just two or three of these key players for an extended spell then it will be curtains for those hopes.
