Hammers boss David Moyes has a clear Armando Broja back-up striker target as West Ham insider makes big claim.
West Ham have been intensely linked with a move for Chelsea academy graduate Broja.
The Hammers were first linked with a move for the striker earlier this season after he seriously caught the eye on loan at Southampton (Football Insider).

Sky Sports has reported that Broja is on Moyes’s list of striker targets for the summer window with a forward being a top priority for West Ham.
There was intense speculation last week that West Ham were set to launch a £30m bid for Broja.
But Telegraph journalist Jason Burt said Chelsea are rejecting any approaches for the Albanian striker and are in no rush to sell him.

Much will depend on whether Chelsea can land a host of forward targets following the departure of Romelu Lukaku.
Thomas Tuchel is also being linked with Raheem Sterling, Richarlison and Ousmane Dembele.
West Ham’s long, drawn out search for a striker is becoming somewhat farcical now as it enters a third full transfer window.

No other club struggles to sign forwards quite like West Ham under Moyes. The manager is totally right to insist on only signing players HE wants at the club.
So it is up to the owners to get deals done for those players.
Nottingham Forest have not even kicked a ball in the Premier League yet and have signed one of the top young strikers from the Bundesliga.

With the Broja chase likely to go on for most of the summer window, West Ham simply cannot afford to put all their eggs in one basket and end up with nothing.
So West Ham fans will be relieved by talk about the club’s plan B.
Because Moyes has a clear Broja back-up striker target as West Ham insider makes a big claim.
According to a West Ham insider speaking to Claret and Hugh, Moyes is still interested in a deal to sign longstanding striker target Youssef En-Nesyri.

“A source close to the boss has confirmed that there is interest in doing a deal for the Morocco international, who was a target last year,” a Hammers insider told Claret and Hugh.
“Moyes remains desperate to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea and that is the club’s top priority at this point.
“However, there is an acceptance that there needs to be a shortlist beyond the Albania international and En-Nesyri has come up in conversations at the London Stadium.”

It is good to see Moyes has a back-up plan.
Because West Ham cannot afford to go into another season with Michail Antonio as their only senior striker option.
Anyone disputing that need only look at Antonio’s dismal goal record in 2022.
