David Moyes has confirmed a West Ham transfer deal can be done soon for Said Benrahma this month if a key condition is met.
West Ham have not hidden the fact the club is looking to ship fringe players out in order to make signings in the January transfer window.
The Hammers must do so in order to clear space in the squad and on the wage bill.
One of West Ham’s more saleable fringe players is Said Benrahma.
But so far the Hammers have only received a loan offer – from French club Marseille.
West Ham labelled the French club’s offer for Benrahma a ‘joke’ in 15-word response to Hammers News this week.

Moyes confirms West Ham transfer can be done soon
Benrahma, who is also said to be attracting interest from Wolves, former club Brentford, Saudi Arabian sides ad Lyon, was sent off for violent conduct in West Ham’s FA Cup exit at Bristol City in midweek. That carries a three-game ban.
So it may – as many predicted – prove to be the winger’s last “kick” as a Hammers player.
Especially if a new admission from West Ham’s manager is anything to go by.
Because David Moyes has confirmed a West Ham transfer deal can be done soon for Benrahma if a key condition is met.
Speaking in his pre-Sheffield United press conference – as reported by The Evening Standard – Moyes said Benrahma could be on his way soon. But only if West Ham receive a permanent offer.

‘It’s bye Benrahma if you buy’ says boss
“I do believe Marseille made a loan offer…” Moyes said.
“As far as I know, it was knocked back anyway. We probably need to sell to get some other players in. If that’s the case then we’re probably in a selling mood, rather than a loaning mood.”
Benrahma has barely featured under Moyes this season.
And he has failed to impress when he has been given the chance either as a substitute or starter.
The latest example of that was in the game at Bristol City, where his brainless sending off gave West Ham a mountain to climb to stay in the cup.
His sale takes on huge importance given Moyes’ admission that it will be needed to enable West Ham to bring in new signings.
