West Ham manager David Moyes should be looking to move on Maxwel Cornet and Danny Ings this winter.
Maxwel Cornet and Danny Ings have proven to be nothing other than huge failures since moving to West Ham in the summer of 2022 and January 2023 respectively.
Ings, 31, clearly doesn’t fit the system deployed by Hammers boss David Moyes at the London Stadium whilst Cornet, 27, looks like a shadow of the player who impressed so much with Burnley last season.

Both the Englishman and the Ivorian were linked with moves to Everton on transfer deadline day in the summer, but they remained with West Ham in the end.
I think they should have been forced out the door in the summer. Now Moyes has to make sure he does exactly that in January…
David Moyes absolutely must sell West Ham duo Danny Ings and Maxwel Cornet
When the January transfer window opens, Moyes’s first order of business has to be to get rid of Ings and Cornet.
Neither of them have a skillset that we need right now. And the Hammers boss has to ship them out in order to free up funds and wages to make a move to strengthen one position where we’re currently very short indeed – centre-forward.
When Michail Antonio is unavailable, Jarrod Bowen can fill in, but then we lose his quality out on the right wing.
Some might say that Mohammed Kudus could be used through the middle but I have to question whether playing with his back to goal would make him a lot more ineffective than when he’s facing the opposition’s goal.
The best solution for Moyes will be to sign an actual proven centre-forward – someone like Serhou Yadaly Guirassy springs to mind.

The 27-year-old has been on fire in the Bundesliga with Stuttgart this season. He has 14 goals in eight games to his name in all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).
He has a release clause inserted into his contract with Stuttgart worth only £17 million according to BILD.
That fee would represent an absolute bargain for the Hammers, and Moyes should be going all out to sign the eight-capped Guinea international in the January transfer window.
Surely West Ham would be able to get £17 million combined for Maxwel Cornet and Danny Ings in January, or close to it at the very least.
Bringing in Guirassy in place of those two would be a major upgrade from Moyes.
