Chelsea owner Todd Boehly reportedly wants to sign Ronaldo after the World Cup, and it could be fantastic news for West Ham United.
That’s according to a report from 90min who claim that Chelsea’s American owner may decide to act after the World Cup finishes and bring the Portuguese superstar to Stamford Bridge.
And I believe that if the 37-year-old superstar does join Chelsea, the door could be open again for West Ham to sign Armando Broja.
The Scot ended his long search for a striker when he brought Gianluca Scamacca to the London Stadium from Sassuolo in the summer.

It could be argued that the Hammers need more strength in depth in the centre-forward department though. And Moyes might just have a chance to sign Broja, if Todd Boehly gets his way…
Chelsea owner eyes blockbuster Ronaldo move
The 37-year-old is one of the game’s two biggest superstars. He has been described as ‘unstoppable’ by Real Madrid’s official website.
However, things aren’t looking too rosy for him at the moment.
The Portuguese superstar is now a free agent after having his contract terminated by Manchester United.
Ronaldo conducted an interview with Piers Morgan and said some truly shocking things about Manchester United, his manager and teammates.
The interview was crass, incredibly unprofessional and petulant in my opinion, but it clearly hasn’t put off one perspective buyer in particular.
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is keen to bring Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge after the World Cup according to 90min.
And if that happens, West Ham should go all out for Broja. The Albania international does not play regularly as it is and is behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz in the centre-forward pecking order.
Should Ronaldo move to Stamford Bridge, Broja will surely be given even less game-time. It will be time for him to move on.
And what a signing he would be for West Ham.
The Sun journalist Tom Barclay recently told Give Me Sport that Chelsea will demand at least £40 million for the young forward.
I can’t see the Hammers board paying that kind of money for Broja. Perhaps £30 million would be doable through.
We would love the 21-year-old Chelsea ace at the club.
He has been described as an ‘exceptional’ striker by The Athletic. Meanwhile, One Football label him as ‘lethal’. And Albania coach Sergio Porrini called him ‘devastating’.

Broja seems to be ideally suited to West Ham and considering the way in which he stretches the opposition with tireless runs into the channels, it’s easy to see why Moyes wants to sign him.
The Chelsea ace is strong, quick and is a really, really good finisher.
It is his all around game that has been the most impressive thing about him though. The way in which he holds up the ball with his back to goal and brings others into play has been truly magnificent to watch.
The striker absolutely tore the Hammers apart last season, bagging one goal and one assist in three appearances against us. He gave our defenders nightmares and was a total menace to our back line during all three clashes.
It’s easy to forget at times that the Albania international is just 21-years-old-old!
He really is an unbelievable talent. And Chelsea boss Graham Potter signing Ronaldo after the World Cup should open the door for West Ham to bring the Albanian hitman to the London Stadium.
