Leeds United allegedly could be set to challenge West Ham for Nottingham Forest ace Brennan Johnson in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Pete O’Rourke who told Give Me Sport that Leeds have been scouting the talented 20-year-old for quite some time.

Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the Forest starlet to the London Stadium in the summer according to The Daily Mail and The Evening Standard.
However, Leeds manager Jesse Marsch could beat us to the punch by bringing Johnson to Elland Road before the start of next season.

If the Whites win the race for Johnson’s signature, it would be a huge blow for the Hammers. The 20-year-old really is a special talent.
It seems as though that could happen as well…
Leeds to challenge West Ham as they target summer transfer window Brennan Johnson swoop
Pete O’Rourke has told Give Me Sport how Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson is firmly on the radar of Leeds ahead of the summer transfer window:
“I know Leeds scouts have been watching Johnson for a while, so I’m sure they might be thinking he could be a good addition to the team, especially if they lost someone like Raphinha.”
Johnson is someone who West Ham really should be going all out for – he’s that good. So Leeds showing interest in a summer transfer window swoop for the youngster is certainly bad news for us.
He is a number 10 by trade but he can also play on either wing. He was recently described as an exceptional talent by former Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton (FLW).
The young ace has been in superb form for Forest so far this season with 15 goals and seven assists to his name in just 43 games (Transfermarkt).

Johnson has played such a key role for the East Midlands outfit this season and he seems to have all of the attributes needed to make it at the very highest level.
The Daily Mail reckon that he could be available for around £14 million. That seems like unbelievable value for a player with so much talent and potential.
As mentioned earlier, Johnson is a truly elite young player.
West Ham will obviously have a fight on our hands with Leeds eyeing a summer transfer window swoop for the Forest ace.
Whilst the Whites’ showing interest in Johnson will be an inconvenience for the Hammers, we should still be far better placed than the west Yorkshire outfit to prise Johnson away from the City Ground.
Lets hope that Moyes wins the race for the 20-year-old. He would be an unbelievably good signing for West Ham this summer.
