Pablo Fornals was absolutely brilliant when playing in a more central role for West Ham last night and it’s obvious to see that he should be playing there all the time now.
The 26-year-old joined the Hammers from Villarreal in the summer of 2019 for around £25 million according to The Telegraph.

Fornals joined West Ham as a central midfield play-maker but he has mostly operated out on the left since moving to the London Stadium.
David Moyes likes to use him out wide because of his energy and ability to track back.

In the Europa League against Lyon last night though, Fornals played in the middle of the park and was absolutely brilliant.
The Spaniard has operated in the centre once or twice before, but last night he proved that he is built for that particular role at the very highest level against a very good side.
Fornals West Ham role must change now
The 26-year-old has to be utilised by David Moyes as central midfield play-maker for the rest of his career now.
Said Benrahma is better out on the left and with Jarrod Bowen on the right flanking Michail Antonio through the middle, Fornals, Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek could form a really effective central midfield triangle.

The 26-year-old former Villarreal ace provides us with so much more control of possession in midfield when he plays at the top of the triangle.
Fornals is technically brilliant with exceptional vision but he also possesses a superb work-rate.
The Spaniard is a hugely popular figure at the London Stadium and it’s obvious to see why. He absolutely bleeds Claret and Blue.
And it should be obvious for Moyes to see where he needs to be playing Fornals for West Ham week in, week out. Fornals in central midfield is clearly the way forward.
