West Ham United are at the front of the queue in the race to sign Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke in January.
David Moyes desperately needs to sign a top-class striker for West Ham in the January transfer window, and Dominic Solanke could well be the man for the job – someone who we’ve been persistently linked with over the past year or so.
Football Transfers claim that the Hammers are the club showing the most interest in signing the 26-year-old Cherries hitman this winter.
The addition of a proven forward in the January window could take this West Ham team to another level entirely.
Solanke has been in fine form for Bournemouth this season, and he’d be the perfect long-term replacement for Michail Antonio.
Now it seems like the East London outfit are pushing hard to prise him away from the south coast outfit…

West Ham pushing for Dominic Solanke signing
Football Transfers reckon that it’s the Hammers who are showing the most interest in signing the former Chelsea and Liverpool man this winter.
I have to say, Solanke would be absolutely perfect for us, in the sense that he always runs the channels and occupies opposing defenders.
As mentioned earlier, the 26-year-old has been red-hot for Bournemouth so far this season, with 12 goals in 19 Premier League games to his name. He’s bagged 47 league goals since the start of the 2021/22 campaign – a really fine return (Transfermarkt).
He’s currently sitting behind only Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland in the Premier League goalscoring charts this term, and that in itself tells us all we need to know about his quality.
Bournemouth are apparently demanding around £50 million for the striker (Daily Mail). I just can’t see the Hammers spending anything like that in January, and certainly not on one player. I would also question whether West Ham should be spending that kind of fee on Dominic Solanke.
However, perhaps a deal could happen if he was available for closer to £35-40 million.
