Orkun Kokcu does not want to join West Ham United from Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord in the summer transfer window.

Central midfield is definitely an area at the London Stadium where Moyes needs to bolster before the start of the new 2022/23 season.
Mark Noble retired at the end of last season whilst Alex Kral’s loan spell at the London Stadium has unsurprisingly now finished.

Bringing in at least one top-class central midfielder will be pivotal for West Ham, if we are to compete for honours on all fronts next term.
Feyenoord ace Kokcu would have been the perfect summer signing for the Hammers. It seems as though we are set to face disappointment on that front though…
Kokcu doesn’t want to join West Ham
The 21-year-old midfielder has no intention of leaving Feyenoord this summer.
It seems as though the 16-capped Turkey international is more than happy to carry on playing at the Feyenoord Stadium for the time being.
When asked about a potential summer move to West Ham or Arsenal, Kokcu told ESPN:

“I feel good. I’ve got a good relationship with the coaches and the players. I developed well here last season. It is certainly not in my mind that I have to leave. When I signed that contract, I also knew that anything was possible in those five years.”
So judging by those words, Moyes will have to look elsewhere this summer.
In all fairness though, it is highly unlikely that the Hammers board would have been prepared to meet Feyenoord’s £50 million valuation (talkSPORT) of Kocku.
That being said, it’s still a big blow for West Ham.
He has been described as a ‘stunning’ player by well-renowned football analytical and scouting website Breaking The Lines.
Kokcu is great with both feet, is very agile and tenacious, has an impressive engine and is a superb passer of the football.
In 32 Eredivisie games for Feyenoord last season, the 21-year-old bagged seven goals and nine assists (Who Scored).
In those outings, the 16-capped Turkey international averaged 1.3 tackles. He made 70.2 passes per game and recorded an 86.1% completion rate (Who Scored).
The 21-year-old would have been a truly tremendous addition for the Hammers.
Unfortunately for us though, it seems as though Kokcu has no interest in joining West Ham, for the time being at least.
