The Spanish and Italian giants are allegedly keen to snap up the 28-year-old Manchester United man on a free transfer next summer according to the Daily Mail.

West Ham were linked with a £15 million move to sign the England international from Man United in January by the Daily Star a few days ago.

And it now seems as though if the Hammers are to have any chance of bringing Jesse back to the London Stadium, we will have to shell out for him in January.

West Ham will have no chance of signing him on a free considering the competition we will face for his signature and the inflated wages that we would have to pay him.

With the Spanish and Italian giants ready to swoop in for Jesse Lingard on a free transfer, the Hammers had better act fast.

Signing him for £15 million in January would actually make more sense…as much as that sounds for a player with just six months remaining on his current contract.

The 28-year-old is a top-class player. We know that he suits our system and we know that he is a hugely popular figure at the London Stadium with both the fans and the players.

Spending £15 million on Jesse in January would be a really sensible move in the long-run.
