West Ham are very likely to sign Juventus ace Luca Pellegrini at some point in the near future according to a report from Corriere Torino.
Hammers boss David Moyes was on the hunt for a new left-back throughout the summer transfer window.
And Pellegrini, 22, was on the Scot’s radar according to Tuttosport.
West Ham obviously missed out on signing the Italian defender in the end.
It seems as though the East London outfit could be set to renew their interest in the Juve ace, however.
West Ham are now very likely to sign Luca Pellegrini
That’s according to Corriere Torino who claim that an exit from Turin is on the cards for the 22-year-old left-back.
Pellegrini would be a very smart addition for West Ham.
Moyes desperately needs to add more competition and cover for Aaron Cresswell.
And the Juventus starlet may well be the man for the job.
Pellegrini has bags of pace, is an able defender and offers a lot going forward as well. He is at an age where he will undoubtedly continue to improve at a fairly fast rate as well.
Perhaps a loan deal with an option to buy would be the best deal for West Ham.
Whether Juventus would be open to that kind of deal, however, remains to be seen.
