Chelsea appear to be closing in on a deal to sign Wesley Fofana from Leicester and that could be really bad news for West Ham.
Media Foot claim that Chelsea are ‘close to completing’ a deal for Fofana that could reach an incredible €100 million (£85 million).

And if Thomas Tuchel does bring the 21-year-old centre-back to Stamford Bridge, West Ham may well be left empty-handed in our own pursuit of a top-class central defender.

The problem for West Ham is that PSG want to sign Wesley Fofana (Le Parisien). And if they miss out on the Leicester ace to Chelsea, they may well be reluctant to let Kehrer leave to join the Hammers…
Chelsea signing Wesley Fofana would be bad news for West Ham
If the Blues get their hands on the 21-year-old Leicester star, it may well be curtains for the Hammers’ Kehrer hopes.
PSG may well decide not to sell the German to West Ham. And what a huge blow that would be for us.
Kehrer is absolutely rapid and is one of Germany’s fastest players according to Sport Mob. When he was at Schalke, the Bundesliga’s official website described him as a potentially ‘world-class’ player.
He’s a three time league winner, having enjoyed great success at Parc des Princes.
The 25-year-old is an exceptional passer of the football as well.
In 27 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG last season, he made an average of 43.1 passes per match and recorded an incredibly successful completion rate of 94.7% (Who Scored).

Standing at 6ft 1in tall, Kehrer isn’t the tallest of centre-backs, but he possesses an incredible leap, similar to that of Manchester City defender Nathan Ake.
The German’s ability to play in a variety of defensive positions will obviously appeal to David Moyes.
He would be an unreal signing for West Ham, that goes without saying.
Should PSG lose out to Chelsea in the race for Wesley Fofana though, they might well be tempted to keep Kehrer at the Parc des Princes.
And that would be a disaster for the Hammers with time running out in the transfer window.
