Thilo Kehrer is now open to moving to the Premier League from Paris Saint-Germain amid strong links with West Ham United.

That’s according to a report from The Express who claim that the 25-year-old is being chased by the Hammers and a switch from Paris to London could now well be on.

West Ham have allegedly made a £10 million offer for Kehrer, with PSG said to be holding out for closer to £17 million.

David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium before the transfer window closes and ideally before 12pm today so that he can be registered for our clash with Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Nayef Aguerd is out injured whilst it’s clear to see that Angelo Ogbonna is a long way off being ready to play 90 minutes at the highest level. Meanwhile, Issa Diop has left to join Fulham.

And it seems as though Kehrer could be the next arrival at the London Stadium…

Thilo Kehrer open to West Ham move

The Express reckon that the German centre-back is now open to the idea of moving to East London this summer.

That’s great news because the 25-year-old would be a truly superb signing for the Hammers.

Kehrer is absolutely rapid and is one of Germany’s fastest players according to Sport Mob. When he was at Schalke, the Bundesliga’s official website described him as a potentially ‘world-class’ player.

He’s a three time league winner, having enjoyed great success at Parc des Princes.

The 25-year-old is an exceptional passer of the football as well.

In 27 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG last season, he made an average of 43.1 passes per match and recorded an incredibly successful completion rate of 94.7% (Who Scored).

Standing at 6ft 1in tall, Kehrer isn’t the tallest of centre-backs, but he possesses an incredible leap, similar to that of Manchester City defender Nathan Ake.

The German’s ability to play in a variety of defensive positions will obviously appeal to David Moyes.

West Ham just need to pay what PSG want for Thilo Kehrer. He’s more than worth £17 million. And considering the fact that he’s open to moving to England, the Hammers must force this one through as a matter of urgency now.
