West Ham United are said to be still in the running to sign an explosive Premier League star this summer.
Julen Lopetegui has been relentless with his summer transfer window business so far, having brought eight new players to the London Stadium.
The West Ham fans are buzzing with excitement about what the future holds for us, and Lopetegui has insisted that he’s after even more new signings.
The West Ham manager has a seriously talented group of players at his disposal now.
The Hammers may have lost our opening game of the season, but when everything clicks we will be a real problem for every team in the league.
The addition of one of two more top-class players would really cap off the summer window in style, and amazingly, it now seems like one player in particular could still join West Ham.
Journalist suggests West Ham could still sign Jhon Duran
Before West Ham signed Niclas Fullkrug, Jhon Duran seemed to be destined to join the Hammers.
West Ham were said to be willing to pay £30 million for Jhon Duran, but Villa were demanding closer to £40 million.

The Colombia international was the Hammers’ number one transfer target earlier this summer, and we nearly signed him before we eventually switched attention to the German ace.
Incredibly, it now seems like it will still be possible for West Ham to bring the South American to the London Stadium.
The Athletic’s Gregg Evans has outlined how Duran’s future at Villa Park is far from secure.
He told 1874 podcast: “Let’s get this clear now, we still don’t know what’s going to happen with Jhon Duran.“
“It would be foolish of us – or anybody outside of his inner circle I would say – to predict what’s going to happen, because he’s the most unpredictable human being I’ve dealt with for a while.“
“Anything can happen still in the couple of weeks left of the transfer window. We don’t know what’s going to happen. He might move on still and Villa might sign someone else.”
Jhon Duran to West Ham would be a shock move
It has been quite the summer for Duran so far.
It looked for all the world that he would be leaving Villa to link up with the Hammers earlier on in the window, especially after he did the crossed Hammers sign during a live stream.
That move didn’t happen in the end, as Lopetegui brought Niclas Fullkrug to the London Stadium instead.
The decision not to sign Jhon Duran kind of backfired for West Ham last weekend, when he scored the winner for Aston Villa against us at the London Stadium.
It was just written in the stars wasn’t it. After the Colombian scored, he proceeded to celebrate in front of the away fans, appearing to apologise to them.
However, it now seems like his future at Villa Park is far from guaranteed. That said, a move to West Ham would still be quite the shock, after everything that has gone on over the past few weeks.
