A wildly conflicting claim has just emerged about West Ham Unieted’s hopes of signing Manchester United ace Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been firmly on the West Ham radar since last summer, but the latest report suggested that he will not be moving to the London Stadium due to his extortionate wage demands.
The Florian Plettenberg suggested that talks between the two clubs could in fact resume within the next 48 hours.
Hammers head coach Julen Lopetegui desperately needs to sign a new right-back this summer, as far as I’m concerned.
The Spaniard failed to bring Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui to the London Stadium, with the 26-year-old keen to join Manchester United instead.
That was a real hammer blow for West Ham, as it meant we had missed out on the Morocco international AND Wan-Bissaka.
However, the tables may well have turned now, after a new development came to light…
Conflicting Aaron Wan-Bissaka claim gives West Ham fans hope
Signing Wan-Bissaka seemed like a no-brainer to me this summer.
He’s apparently available for just £10 million this summer (Give Me Sport), and for that price, he’d be an absolute steal.

With that in mind, it was incredibly frustrating when it was claimed that a deal to bring the pacy full-back to East London was off.
However, all is not as it seems…apparently.
According to a report from Caught Offside, talks are underway between West Ham and Manchester United for the transfer of Wan-Bissaka.
Let’s hope that the board manage to get this one over the line this time. We cannot head into the new season with Vladimir Coufal as our starting right-back in my opinion.
He would be a sensational signing for the Hammers, what with his blistering pace, tenacious tackling and incredible energy and stamina levels.
The Man United man isn’t the greatest going forward but he’s one of the very best defenders around and let’s face it, that’s exactly what we need right now.
The 26-year-old currently earns £100k-a-week at Old Trafford, according to Salary Sport.
Whether or not West Ham will be able to meet the wage demands of Aaron Wan-Bissaka remains to be seen.
But for now it seems as though the powers that be at the London Stadium are at least trying to make a deal happen.
