West Ham chief and Apprentice star Karren Brady has sent a very clear but mixed message to under pressure boss David Moyes.
Hammers vice-chair Brady is currently starring in the latest series of The Apprentice on Thursday nights.
And this week’s episode will air after West Ham have played the first leg of their Europa Conference League last 16 clash with Cypriot side AEK Larnaca.
The fact West Ham are in the knockout stages of European competition for the second consecutive season is perhaps one of the key reasons Moyes still finds himself as the manager.
Because even the most decorated of managers would be struggling to survive based on West Ham’s Premier League record under the Scot over the last 15 months, which reads 15 wins in their last 52 top flight games.
West Ham majority stakeholder David Sullivan told Hammers News after the dismal 4-0 defeat to Brighton that the board are still behind Moyes.
But he did make it clear the performance was unacceptable.
Brady takes to our screens again tonight alongside Sir Alan Sugar as he decides who is next to hear the dreaded words “You’re fired”.

Speaking to the BBC, Brady reiterated Sullivan’s backing for West Ham’s beleaguered boss.
And while it may not quite have been a dreaded vote of confidence, the Hammers vice-chair did pile the pressure on by making it abundantly clear the board were expecting better, pointing out that Moyes was given an ‘extraordinarily large’ amount of money to spend.
Brady was keen to highlight Moyes retains his passion to do well for West Ham. But her repeated use of the word ‘hopefully’ fails to inspire much confidence that he can turn things around.
“I can’t put any pressure on David Moyes because he puts enough on himself,” Brady told BBC.
“The really important thing is for everyone to stick together to be really focused, understand what the issues are.
“It’s been a disappointing season. After two great seasons and the success we had in Europe, things haven’t gone the way we wanted.
“We spent an extraordinarily large amount of money in the summer. Undoubtedly, it takes people time to settle in and create a new way of playing with such a lot of new players.
“As owners, if you look at our track record in the past 30 years, we’re not hire-and-fire types, we like to give people our support. We believe David Moyes is as enthusiastic, as driven and as passionate for the football club as we are and the supporters are.
“Hopefully things will turn. Hopefully things will keep on improving.”
