West Ham boss David Moyes has lifted the lid on details of the Vladimir Coufal injury issue and gets a major Jarrod Bowen boost.
When Coufal went off injured at half-time of West Ham United’s recent home clash with Nottingham Forest, it is fair to say he was not having his best game.
Most in the stadium thought he had been substituted as a result.
But in fact it turned out after the game that Coufal had sustained a heel injury which has kept him out of the Man United and Brighton defeats since.
With the score 0-0 at half-time against Forest, the Hammers went on to win the match 4-0 after Coufal came off.

So supporters could be forgiven for thinking the team would be able to cope without the Czech defender.
Performances since – particularly from Ben Johnson – have proved nothing could be further from the truth.
Top scorer Bowen looked back to top form in that West Ham win over Forest too.
But Moyes revealed he has been struggling with a shin injury since and looked off it when coming on against Man United and in the defeat to Brighton.
Now West Ham boss Moyes has lifted the lid on details of the Coufal injury issue and gets a major Bowen boost.

Bowen has been captured on camera in full training before West Ham departed for Larnaca this afternoon.
The forward looked sharp and pain free, which will be a huge relief to Moyes and Hammers fans.
“Vladimír Coufal is not with us because he has plantar fasciitis in his heel,” Moyes said in his pre-Larnaca press conference.
“Time will help it, but he’s not available for the game.”
In terms of timescale, the NHS website says two weeks is usually enough time for the painful issue to clear up.
So while the Aston Villa game on Sunday would not be out of the question, the fact he has not been training might suggest he will need more recovery time beyond that crucial Premier League clash.
Not that Moyes would have any worries about chucking Coufal back into the action if he is passed fit at the 11th hour for Sunday.
