The ex-coach of Gianluca Scamacca has chimed in regarding the Italian’s uncertain future at West Ham United.
West Ham signed the 6ft 5in Italian striker from Sassuolo in the summer transfer window for around £30 million (Independent).

Gianluca Scamacca has really struggled with the Hammers since making his move to the London Stadium though.

West Ham United manager David Moyes certainly hasn’t helped the 24-year-old with his negative setup and refusal to play two up top.
Whether the Scot changes his system to get the best out of the ex-Sassuolo hitman remains to be seen.
One coach has told Moyes that Scamacca is good enough to reach the very top though…
Italian coach sends clear message to Moyes about West Ham striker Scamacca
Emiliano Leva – Scamacca’s coach during his youth career with Lazio, insists that the striker is ready to take the step up to the next level.
He told Sport Italia:

“Even a year ago, his name was associated with these teams and more. Gianluca is a first-tier centre-forward, it is no coincidence that he has been with the national team for some time. I can certainly tell you that he has all the potential to make the leap into a big one. Inzaghi already knows him well from the time when I coached him at Lazio, he often came to watch the youth games. I can’t say where I would see him best, they are complex discussions that involve the interlocking of many factors. I repeat that the only thing I am sure of is that Gianluca is ready to make this possible leap. But you will see that in the meantime he will return to being the man with West Ham.”
Moyes needs to realise that if he doesn’t figure out how to use Scamacca correctly, West Ham will most probably lose him to one of Italy’s biggest clubs.
Inter Milan, Juventus and AC Milan have all been linked with moves to sign the 24-year-old.
I really hope that Moyes keeps him at the London Stadium and sets up his team in order to get the best out of the striker.
If he doesn’t, the Italian’s time in East London could be very short-lived.
