David Moyes has made a big blunder with West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta, according to one journalist.
West Ham signed the 25-year-old from Lyon in the summer transfer window for a club record £51 million (Sky Sports).

However, things haven’t gone too well for Paqueta at the London Stadium thus far.

It seems as though Moyes signed the Brazilian for the Hammers thinking that he was an attack-minded play-maker, when in fact he is more of an orthodox central midfielder.
In fairness to Paqueta, he does always try to make things happen but in my opinion, he needs to do more for the money that the Hammers paid for him.
And one journalist in particular has suggested that the 25-year-old was a bad signing for West Ham…
David Moyes has made a Lucas Paqueta blunder
The Scot shouldn’t have signed the Brazil international from Lyon in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor who told Give Me Sport:

“I feel like West Ham have made the wrong signings. Lucas Paqueta is a great player, but I never saw him being big a hitter at West Ham, to be honest. I don’t feel like he really suits what they’re trying to do. I feel like West Ham are better off signing top Championship players instead.”
Paqueta just hasn’t produced the goods for West Ham yet on a consistent enough basis.
It must be said, the former Lyon man really needs to work on his weight of pass and the amount of time that he takes on the ball.
I’m still backing Lucas Paqueta to come good at West Ham though. It can’t be easy playing alongside Tomas Soucek, what with his terrible passing ability.
As soon as David Moyes plays a midfield trio of Flynn Downes sitting just behind Declan Rice and Lucas Paqueta, I’m sure we will see the best of the Brazilian.
Or how about Declan Rice slotted in behind Paqueta and Manuel Lanzini or Pablo Fornals? Please let it happen just once!
However, whether the Scot sets up his team to help the South American star flourish in East London remains to be seen.
