Goalkeeper Nathan Trott has just spoken out amidst his extremely uncertain future with West Ham United.
Nathan Trott is out of contract with West Ham in the summer, but the club have the option to extend that deal by a further two years.
The 25-year-old Hammers stopper recently suggested that it is his dream to become the number one goalkeeper at the London Stadium.
David Moyes has Alphonse Areola, Lukasz Fabianski and Joseph Anang as his current goalkeeping options, as well as talented youngsters Krisztian Hegyi and Jacob Knightbridge.
Trott is currently spending the season on loan with Danish outfit Vejle BK. His future at West Ham looks bleak, that goes without saying.
And now the Bermuda born goalkeeper has opened up on his uncertain future…

Nathan Trott opens up on West Ham future
The Hammers owned stopper has been speaking about how he sees his future in the game playing out.
And Trott told Danish media outlet Tipsbladet that he’s unsure where he will be playing his football next season:
“I think this season will be my last at Vejle. My focus is just to keep them up right now, and of course you never know what the future holds. But I think I’m ready for the next step now. I haven’t really thought about what will happen this summer yet. Of course, my loan agreement expires this summer, and my contract with West Ham also expires, but there is an option in my contract which gives West Ham the opportunity to extend the contract by two years.”
Listen, I firmly believe that Trott is finished at West Ham. It’s not like he’s an up and coming teenager anymore – he’s 25!
He has only ever played seven first-team minutes for the Hammers – an FA Cup substitute appearance against Doncaster in 2021.
Nathan Trott just isn’t at the level required to play Premier League football for West Ham in my opinion.
He has hardly set the world alight in Denmark either, having conceded 21 goals in 17 games for Vejle BK, keeping just three clean sheets in the process (Transfermarkt).
I’m almost certain that he’ll leave us as a free agent in the summer, and it goes without saying that I wish him well in his future endeavours.
