West Ham beat Nottingham Forest 4-0 in the Premier League at the London Stadium yesterday, and it was a vitally important result for David Moyes.

Then win eased the pressure on the Scot somewhat and we can all start looking upwards now rather than back over our shoulders.
There were plenty of superb performances out there for West Ham. Declan Rice was his usual brilliant self, Danny Ings got off the mark in a West Ham shirt and Nayef Aguerd put in an exceptional display.
Meanwhile, Lucas Paqueta put in a top-class performance that perhaps went slightly under the radar. Aside from his display though, there was something that he did that really proved to me just how much playing for the Hammers means to him…

The Brazilian arrived at the London Stadium from Lyon in the summer for around £51 million (The Times).
However, he has taken his time to settle. It’s little wonder why really, considering how much the team has struggled in general.
Paqueta looked so much better yesterday in a team that played on the front foot.
More important than his performance though, was his passion and commitment in my opinion.

Paqueta celebrated the Declan Rice goal like he had scored it himself.
Too often nowadays these big money signings are obsessed with their own individual stats rather than what is good for the team as a whole.
Lucas Paqueta clearly isn’t like that at all.
And I strongly believe that the 25-year-old will now start to flourish in a West Ham shirt.
