West Ham United have seemingly just dropped a hint about Thilo Kehrer.
Thilo Kehrer joined West Ham from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022 for around £10 million (Sky Sports).

However, he has fallen down the pecking order at the London Stadium since Premier League football resumed after the World Cup, with Hammers boss David Moyes preferring Vladimir Coufal at right-back.
The 27-year-old has made only five appearances for West Ham this season, with just two of them being starts in the Europa League and the Carabao Cup respectively.

In total, Kehrer has been given just 198 minutes of action by Moyes this season. That’s clearly not enough for someone who wants to be playing for his country at the Euros in the summer.
And if he continues to warm the bench, those rumours will inevitably resurface in January. However, it seems like he might be given a big chance to impress out in Germany tomorrow night…
West Ham star Thilo Kehrer could be handed huge chance against Freiburg
The Hammers will face the Bundesliga side in match-day two of the Europa League Group A tomorrow night.
And it seems as though the former PSG ace may well be handed a chance to shine.
West Ham official Twitter account posted an interview with Kehrer last night, and the defender responded when asked by the interviewer if he’s excited to ‘play’ back in Germany:

“Yeh I’m excited. It’s been some time since playing in a German stadium with another club. It’s a nice feeling for me to go back to where I come from, where I grew up.”
Kehrer began his career with Schalke in 2014 before moving on to PSG four years later.
And now he could be set for a return to his homeland tomorrow night. I’m not sure Kehrer would have done that interview if he wasn’t set to start against Freiburg.
And the fact that he said he’s looking forward to playing back in Germany is a big hint that he will be in Moyes’s starting XI in my opinion.
Thilo Kehrer could still salvage his West Ham career as far as I’m concerned. In order for him to do just that though, he really needs to start impressing when he is given a chance by Moyes.
