West Ham star Lucas Paqueta has spoken out to rubbish claims he will be out for two months as being claimed elsewhere.

West Ham’s Brazilian magnifico Lucas Paqueta suffered the recurrence of a calf injury in the FA Cup draw with Bristol City.

It was one of three big blows from that game as the Hammers also saw Konstantinos Mavropanos and Jarrod Bowen leave the pitch injured.

Paqueta speaks out to rubbish claims

With the setback for Michail Antonio and both Mohammed Kudus and Nayef Aguerd away at AFCON, it has been very much doom and gloom for West Ham to start the new year.

Yesterday it was claimed scans showed Paqueta will be out for a month due to the injury.

But today a host of outlets including The Evening Standard claimed Paqueta’s injury will actually see him sidelined for EIGHT WEEKS.

There is some rare good news for the Hammers and David Moyes, though, it seems.

‘It increases every hour’

Because West Ham star Paqueta has spoken out to rubbish claims he will be out for two months.

Taking to social media, Paqueta has laughed off the new claims, saying the media reports are exaggerating.

And he has told the press to ‘calm down’ with their sensationalist reporting.

“That’s it folks lol every hour increases by a month,” Paqueta said in a response to a story claiming he is out for two months.

“Calm down.”

There was further good news for West Ham yesterday when we spotted a post on social media from Mavropanos which suggests his injury is definitely not serious.

There could be further good news for the Hammers regarding Kudus and AFCON too.
