West Ham United are set for a clash with Tottenham Hotspur on a summer tour 9,000 miles away in Australia after a 28-year wait.
West Ham and Tottenham are all set to go head-to-head in a pre-season friendly clash on the other side of the world on July 18th.

One big criticism of West Ham United in recent years has been the really poor standard of pre-season tours, including the less than adequate opposition and fairly boring destinations.
Our pre-season campaign last summer was a disaster from day dot, and it ended up bleeding into the competitive campaign.
However, it seems as though the powers that be at West Ham have decided to secure a more glamorous pre-season destination for the players this summer…
West Ham set for Tottenham clash on Australia summer tour after 28-year wait
West Ham planned to take part in the Queensland Champions Cup in 2020. Unfortunately for us though, the COVID-19 pandemic put paid to those plans.
The last time the Hammers were down under was 28 years ago for a four-match tour in 1995.
And now David Moyes and West Ham will be heading back to Oz.
The East London outfit head to Perth to face face Perth Glory on July 15th before a clash with our bitter rivals Tottenham three days later.
This is so much more exciting than a trip to Scotland and friendlies against the likes of Leyton Orient and Cambridge United.
The players will be buzzing about a trip abroad in the summer and it will do wonders for the commercial side of the club as well.
West Ham facing Tottenham out in Australia during pre-season is a sign that the club are trying to move forward and push our brand further around the globe.
