West Ham United are said to be quietly optimistic of signing winger with 15 goals and assists this season in January.
The January transfer window is a crucial one for West Ham manager David Moyes, and the signing of a winger, or any kind of forward for that matter, is an absolute must for the Scot.
Hammers boss Moyes has been linked with moves to bring numerous forwards to the London Stadium already this month.
One of those attackers is Jonathan Rowe of Norwich City – a player who we’re thought to be battling Aston Villa for this month.
With Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio currently injured, and with Mohammed Kudus currently away at AFCON, signing someone like Rowe will be so important for West Ham this winter.
And it seems as though the powers that be at the London Stadium are quietly confident of making it happen…

West Ham optimistic about signing winger
The Mirror claim that the Hammers have numerous attacking targets, including Jonathan Rowe, and are quietly confident of signing one of them.
I think that the 20-year-old would be such an exciting signing for us. He has incredible ability and frightening potential. There is no doubt in my mind that he is capable of making the jump up from the Championship to the Premier League.
Rowe has 12 goals and three assists in 29 games for Norwich to his name so far this season (Transfermarkt).
Born in London and a former AFC Wembley youth player, Rowe is absolutely rapid, can play on either wing or even in the number 10 position. He is a really direct runner, and would add a totally different dimension to our attacking play.
The Daily Mail claim that Norwich City will demand around £20 million for the 20-year-old – a lot of money for someone who is not yet proven in the Premier League.
That said, he is an elite talent, and I have no doubts in my mind that he’ll make it at the very highest level of the game.
I would absolutely love if it Moyes completed the signing for the Norwich winger for West Ham this month.
