West Ham United are apparently eyeing up a January move to sign the perfect Michail Antonio replacement.

David Moyes is keen to bring a Michail Antonio replacement to West Ham in the January transfer window.

Antonio, 33, has been really poor for us over the past 12 months or so, and he is currently out injured after picking up a knee problem whilst away on international duty with Jamaica last month.

The Jamaica international is finished at the very highest level as far as I’m concerned, and Moyes needs to make a big upgrade on the forward as soon as possible.

In all fairness to the Scot, it seems as though that is exactly what he is planning to do in the January window…

West Ham eyeing Michail Antonio replacement

According to a report from Football Transfers, the Hammers are lining up a bold move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja this winter.

In fact, it is suggested that West Ham are leading the race for the 22-year-old Albanian forward’s signature.

It is believed that Moyes has a decent chance of bringing Broja to the London Stadium, with Chelsea trying to sign Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen.

You could not build a striker who is more suited to Moyes’s system than the Albanian. And if Armando Broja is available, West Ham should be all over it.

I really rate the 22-year-old. Broja seems to be exactly what we need up front – he’s willing to run the channels, is very strong when playing with his back to goal and is incredibly hard to dispossess.

The Chelsea striker is absolutely perfect for leading the line on his own at West Ham, and would be an unbelievable Michail Antonio replacement.

My only concern about signing the Chelsea ace is the fact that he ruptured his ACL back in December 2022, and for someone so young, that really is a big worry.

However, I think it will be worth taking a punt on Broja. He could end up being the player we need to take us to the next level.
