West Ham United selling Albian Ajeti to Celtic back in 2020 for £5 million was an absolute masterstroke by David Moyes.

However, Ajeti never seemed cut-out to make it in the Premier League, in spite of the fact that he wasn’t given too many opportunities at the London Stadium by Moyes, or Pellegrini before him for that matter.

He failed to register a goal or an assist in 12 games for the Hammers! David Moyes famously didn’t even know who the 25-year-old was when he took charge at the London Stadium just over three years ago.
West Ham sold the Swiss forward to Celtic for around £5 million in the summer of 2020 (Sky Sports). And that now looks like an unbelievably good deal…
West Ham hit the jackpot with Albian Ajeti
Ajeti never established himself with Celtic, and managed to bag just nine goals in 48 games for the Scottish giants (Transfermarkt).

However, had we kept on to him much longer, I can almost guarantee that we would have had to release him on a free transfer!
West Ham getting £5 million for Albian Ajeti in 2020 was an absolute masterstroke from the club as far as I’m concerned.
