West Ham have a whole host of players jetting off on international duty over the course of the next week or so.

And some Hammers fans are far from happy with the situation considering how tired our players looked against Brentford on Sunday.

West Ham posted an announcement on their official Twitter account yesterday wishing all eight players set for international duty the best of luck.

Tomas Soucek and Alex Kral are just two of our players heading off to play for their countries

Lukasz Fabianski will make a farewell appearance for Poland whilst Alex Kral, Tomas Soucek, Pablo Fornals, Declan Rice, Nikola Vlasic, Andriy Yarmolenko and Said Benrahma are due to be in action as well.

We could actually have had more players away on international duty had Michail Antonio and Vladimir Coufal travelled with their respective nations.

Losing eight players for the next eight or nine days is far from ideal for David Moyes though.

West Ham fans react angrily to international duty Hammers players announcement

Having so many players representing their respective nations is a huge sign of just how far the Hammers have come as a football club. It wasn’t too long ago when we had just one or two players heading off on international duty.

It’s a bitter sweet situation, however.

All of our players will likely return back to training next week rather jaded having played so many games in a short period of time.
