West Ham director Mark Noble got a mention in an England press conference as Jarrod Bowen rejects comparisons to the ‘one and only’.
Mark Noble may never have received the England call-up which evaded him his entire West Ham career.
But he will no doubt have been just as proud hearing his name spoken in a Three Lions press conference and the circumstances around it.
After his Prague heroics Jarrod Bowen has started the season on fire for West Ham, scoring five goals and laying on two assists.
The Hammers star has earned a fully deserved recall to the England squad.
And everyone connected with West Ham has been celebrating after it was revealed Bowen has put pen to paper on a new SEVEN-YEAR deal after 18 months of negotiations.

West Ham director Mark Noble mentioned in England press conference as Jarrod Bowen rejects comparisons to ‘one and only’
It’s the longest contract ever handed to a Hammers player – eclipsing the six-and-a-half-year deal signed by Winston Reid previously.
Bowen has stated he wants to play for West Ham for the rest of his career.
And that has seen West Ham’s top scorer asked about his former skipper ‘Nobes’ when he went in front of the watching millions on Tuesday.
West Ham director Noble was mentioned in the England press conference as Bowen rejects comparisons to the ‘one and only’.

‘I don’t think you can replicate Nobes’
Noble played his entire career for West Ham and is now the club’s sporting director. In that influential role, Noble has undoubtedly been a key figure in Bowen signing his new long-term deal.
When Bowen faced the press pack ahead of games against Australia and Italy, he once again vowed he wants to play out his career with West Ham.
As a result Bowen was asked whether he thinks he can go on to replicate Hammers legend Noble.
“Na I don’t think you can replicate Nobes, he is, you know (the one and only),” Bowen said.
“He is Mr West Ham.
“But like I said the other day when I signed, that club gave me the opportunity. I wouldn’t be sat here without this club.
“So it’s only right for me that I want to pledge my career there and pledge my future there.”
If Bowen does play against Australia – as Gareth Southgate has heavily hinted – then Noble is sure to be at Wembley. And make no mistake he will be one of the proudest people in that stadium.
