West Ham United look set to miss out to Leeds United on the summer transfer of Bayern Munich ace Marc Roca.
That’s according to a report from Spanish publication Marca who claim that the 25-year-old Bayern midfielder has chosen to join Leeds this summer.

The Athletic claimed at the end of last week that West Ham and Leeds were set to battle it out for the summer transfer window signing of £10 million-rated Roca.
Central midfield is certainly an area at the London Stadium that is in urgent need of strengthening ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The same can be said at Elland Road. So it was little wonder why the Hammers and Whites were both chasing Bayern ace Roca.
And it seems as though the Spaniard’s future is very close to being sorted out…
West Ham beaten by Leeds in summer transfer race for Roca
Spanish news outlet Marca claim that the 25-year-old central midfielder has asked to join Leeds this summer, rather than West Ham.
That is a big blow for the Hammers.
Roca would have been a very solid addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium this summer, especially for just £10 million.
The Spaniard would certainly have provided strong competition and cover for Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek at the London Stadium.
The 25-year-old joined Bayern from Espanyol in the summer of 2020 for around £12.5 million (ESPN).
He can play in the defensive midfield and orthodox central midfield positions.
Roca is very good technically, as most Spanish midfielders are. The Bayern ace possesses impressive energy and stamina levels and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
The 25-year-old seems to be more than capable of adapting to Premier League football from the Bundesliga, what with his physical capabilities.
The Bayern star needs to be playing regular football at this stage of his career – something that he is just not getting enough of at the Allianz Arena.
£10 million will represent fantastic business for Leeds. Roca will undoubtedly be a big success at Elland Road.
And West Ham losing out to Leeds in the summer transfer race for the Bayern ace will be a big blow. Who knows though, perhaps Moyes just wasn’t convinced and began looking elsewhere.
