West Ham United owned winger Said Benrahma has just received really stinging criticism from a French footballer.
Said Benrahma left the London Stadium to link up with Lyon on loan until the end of the season, but he is still officially owned by West Ham.
The 28-year-old has already taken a pot-shot at Hammers boss David Moyes, by suggesting that the intensity during training sessions at Lyon is like nothing he has ever experienced before.
Benrahma has been a complete enigma during his time with West Ham. He arrived from Brentford with a huge reputation, but he never really lived up to the hype at the London Stadium.
Whether he succeeds with Lyon, and ends up joining them permanently in the summer, remains to be seen. However, judging by the verdict delivered by one French player on Benny, the outlook seems bleak…

West Ham ace Said Benrahma slaughtered by Frenchman
Paulin Puel, a French striker and son of former Nice and Leicester manager Claude, has highlighted a huge issue with Benrahma.
Puel criticised the Algerian winger, when speaking to 20 Minutes in France:
“Some players are capable of having thick skin when they are lacking time on the pitch, but Saïd is impatient: he quickly wants to look elsewhere if he isn’t play and show that he’s frustrated. Careful, he’s not at all unmanageable, but he’s impulsive and can react inappropriately, before quickly coming to his senses.”
Wow, that is quite the put down from Puel isn’t it!!
I have to say though, perhaps that attitude of Benrahma was the reason why he never saw eye to eye with Moyes.
I’m not suggesting that was the case, but I’m just playing Devil’s advocate! One thing that is for sure is the fact that Said Benrahma faces a really uncertain future with West Ham.
I don’t think he’ll ever play for us again, and I expect him to leave the club permanently in the summer, whether that be to join Lyon or another club.
