It was a very quiet January transfer window in the end for West Ham United regarding incomings, as deadline day passed with no new arrivals at the London Stadium.
Deadline day did exploded into action late on for West Ham with the confusion surrounding the sales of Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals.
In the end, both players were granted special dispensation to leave the Hammers after deadline day, but it was the lack of signings by David Moyes that has really frustrated the fans.
The said, we have made a very exciting addition to our backroom team. Reports emerged last month that Maximilian Hahn would take over as ‘head of technical scouting and analysis’ at the London Stadium on February 1st.
Since then, there has been little in the news regarding the 28-year-old German’s potential switch to West Ham from Werder Bremen.
However, that has all changed now, as Hahn seemed to officially confirmed his arrival in East London last night on X…

Hahn was in and around his new place of work late last night, and posted the below picture to his official X account:
Hahn has clearly now began his role as the club’s head of technical scouting and analysis.
The 28-year-old was the ‘Sports Technologies Coordinator’ at Werder Bremen before moving to East London, and he has a UEFA B license coaching badge (Transfermarkt).
BILD recently explained that Hahn is ‘considered to be a top expert’ in the area of analysis and data-based scouting, so the fact that West Ham appear to have poached him from Bremen should really excite the fans.
Whilst deadline day was a disastrous one for West Ham, let’s hope that Hahn ends up proving to be a really smart addition to the backroom team and that he adds some real value to our current setup.
