One manager in particular is being tipped to replace West Ham United boss David Moyes at the London Stadium.

West Ham manager David Moyes is really feeling the heat right now, and numerous big names could replace the Scot.

The Hammers owners are said to be furious with Moyes after his recent comments following our defeat to Nottingham Forest, so the Scot needs to pull some results out the bag very quickly indeed.

Should Moyes be moved on, Michael Carrick is undoubtedly a contender to replace him, and the West Ham board have apparently already sounded out the 42-year-old Middlesbrough boss.

The former Hammers midfielder had a glittering career in the game with numerous Premier League titles and a Champions League winner’s medal amongst his collection.

Now he’s forging a name for himself in football management, and it seems as though he could be an option for West Ham if Moyes is moved on…

English manager could replace David Moyes

Henry Times has shared his belief that Carrick could always be the man to come in and take over from Moyes.

He shared his thoughts on Moyes’s current situation at the London Stadium, when speaking on talkSPORT on Sunday (February 25th, 9:56am):

“I always thought Michael Carrick might go there [to West Ham] at some point but he is busy rebuilding Middlesbrough. There are good, exciting young managers around and maybe West Ham fans want that. But the trip to Prague last year was just fantastic. You cannot forget that David Moyes gave them that trip, and their first trophy in 40 years. I think we need to appreciate David Moyes.”

Carrick has actually struggled in his role as Boro boss this season, after a really impressive debut campaign on Teesside last term.

His side are currently sitting in 13th spot in the Championship table, a whopping 11 points adrift of sixth placed Hull City.

That is really disappointing for a team that finished fourth in the table last season. That said, Carrick has made a name for himself for implementing some really easy-on-the-eye football at the Riverside.

Whether he is the man to replace David Moyes as West Ham manager remains to be seen though.
