West Ham are leading the race to sign AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw in the January transfer window.
According to a report from Italian journalist Manuele Baoicchini via Tutti I Giorni, Malick Thiaw is firmly on the radar of West Ham.

Hammers boss David Moyes is said to be battling Real Madrid for the 22-year-old’s signature after a recommendation from Tim Steidten.

The two-capped Germany international is an elite talent, and with Moyes on the hunt for another defender, he is being targeted by the East London outfit.
And it seems as though West Ham are lining up a January raid for the Milan star…
Tim Steidten has incredibly exciting plan to bring Malick Thiaw to West Ham in January
Manuele Baoicchini has claimed via Tutti I Giorni that the Hammers are in pole position to sign the 6ft 4in defender.
It is suggested that West Ham are winning the race to bring him to the London Stadium this winter. What an incredible signing he would be.
Thiaw is a central defender by trade but he can also operate as a right-back or even in defensive midfield.

In seven Serie A outings for AC Milan this season, the German has averaged 1.1 tackles, 2.7 clearances and 1.7 successful aerial duels per game (Who Scored).
He has made 67.3 passes on average per match and has recorded an unbelievably impressive completion rate of 92.8% (Who Scored).
Milan will allegedly demand around €30 million (£26 million) for the 22-year-old (Sempre Milan).
I think that would represent exceptional value for West Ham, and if David Moyes bring Malick Thiaw to the London Stadium for anything like that kind of money, we’ll have secured ourselves a real coup.
