According to a report from the Telegraph, West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen is firmly on the radar of Newcastle ahead of the summer window.

The Hammers signed the 26-year-old attacker from Hull City in January 2020 for around £18 million (The Daily Mail), and he has turned out to be a superb addition to David Moyes’s squad.

Bowen has gone on to rack up 38 goals and 28 assists in 146 games for West Ham (Transfermarkt).
The 26-year-old has been nowhere near his best this season, but he has been rediscovering his best stuff of late.
Form is temporary, class is permanent…and Newcastle boss Eddie Howe obviously puts Jarrod Bowen into the latter category…
Newcastle plotting shock move to sign Jarrod Bowen
The Telegraph reckon that the Magpies are eyeing up a surprise move to sign the former Hull City star at the end of the season.
The Hammers are set to sell Declan Rice this summer. Coincidentally, Newcastle are chasing his signature as well (Telegraph). The 24-year-old will be a huge player to lose, and Moyes absolutely must keep the rest of the squad in tact.

The importance of keeping Jarrod Bowen out of Newcastle’s clutches cannot be underestimated.
When Rice leaves, West Ham will be in need of a huge rebuild, but keeping key players like Bowen around to spearhead that will be absolutely vital.
If the Hammers are to remain in with a shout of pushing for a top seven finish next season, we can’t be allowing players like Jarrod Bowen to leave and join Newcastle, regardless of the money that is offered for him.
Money talks though, certainly when it comes to David Sullivan. And whilst some might be shocked to see Bowen join the Magpies this summer, it really wouldn’t surprise me unfortunately.
