West Ham United may have a big problem with summer signing Gianluca Scamacca according to one Sky Sports News reporter.

Scamacca moved to the London Stadium from Sassuolo for around £35 million in the summer transfer window (Sky Sports).

The Italian hitman has unfortunately really struggled to establish himself at West Ham so far though.

And the coaching staff at the club have allegedly been unimpressed with him thus far.

If the 24-year-old is to succeed with the Hammers, David Moyes needs to change his system in order to get the best out of his summer signing.

However, there may be trouble ahead for Scamacca and West Ham…

West Ham could face big Scamacca problem

According to Sky Sports News reporter Michael Bridge, a tricky situation could be developing for the Hammers ahead of the summer transfer window.

Bridge told GiveMeSport:

“West Ham signing Danny Ings probably said it all a little bit, really. They needed a Premier League-proven striker there. Italian strikers, West Ham have had plenty and they’ve signed a couple who have not turned out to be right for the Premier League. I think it will come down to who West Ham get in the summer. He came with a big fee. It’s not like a Chelsea where they can just sort of write it off. ‘Bad striker, we’ll get another one, write it off’. So there could be a problem there.”

It would not surprise me one little bit if West Ham sell Scamacca in the summer transfer window, if Moyes is still in charge at the London Stadium.

It will be so disappointing if Moyes fails to get the best out of the 24-year-old striker. In my opinion, the Italian has all of the attributes needed to become an elite forward in the Premier League.

It would be just so typical of West Ham not to get the best out of him wouldn’t it?
