West Ham United have to make a bold decision and get rid of Aaron Cresswell in the summer, no excuses.
The 33-year-old West Ham left-back has regressed badly over the past year and his physicality and pace is nowhere near where it needs to be for a Premier League player.

West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell has been a great servant for us since joining the club from Ipswich Town for around £4 million in the summer of 2014 (Mirror).

However, his time at the London Stadium should be done now, he is a constant weak-link for the Hammers whenever David Moyes selects him.
With Emerson starting to prove just how good he is and Ollie Scarles coming through the ranks, there really is no need for Cresswell anymore…
West Ham must make ruthless Aaron Cresswell decision
Every time that the 33-year-old has played for us this season, he has been a target for the opposition because of his limited physical abilities.
The only real string to his bow now is his ability from set-pieces.
If Cresswell is kept on, it will send out a message that Moyes and the club are prepared to accept inadequacy.

West Ham recently activated a one-year extension option on the 33-year-old’s £53k-a-week deal. That was a crazy decision from the club in my opinion.
And it’s one that needs to be rectified in the summer, even if it means paying him up a certain percentage of the remainder of his contract.
If West Ham are to make genuine progress as a club over the next few years, we can’t afford to make sentimental decisions with players like Aaron Cresswell.
The 33-year-old is completely done at Premier League level as harsh as that sounds, and Moyes must move him on at the end of the season.
