West Ham are reportedly confident of signing Federico Dimarco from Inter Milan in the summer.

According to Inter Live, Inter Milan left-back Federico Dimarco could be West Ham bound before the start of next season.

And if the Hammers do sign the 25-year-old defender, that will surely mean the end for Aaron Cresswell at the London Stadium. The experienced Merseysider is already behind Emerson Palmieri in the left-back pecking order at West Ham.

The 33-year-old is the longest serving player currently at West Ham, having joined the club from Ipswich Town way back in the summer of 2014.

Cresswell has been great servant for the Hammers, but could his time in East London be coming to an end?

Inter Live claim that the Hammers are confident of winning the race to sign the Italian left-back in the summer transfer window.

It is alleged that he could be available for around £40 million (90 Min).

Whilst that is a lot of money, I believe that Dimarco would be a really strong addition to David Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.

In 26 Serie A outings for Inter Milan this season, the Italy international has bagged three goals and two assists. During those appearances, he has made an average of one tackle and 1.8 key passes per game (Who Scored).

The Inter ace has pace in abundance, is really strong in the channel and has the energy to get up and down the left hand flank for the entire 90 minutes of the game.

Federico Dimarco would be a superb addition for West Ham in my opinion.

However, should he arrive at the London Stadium, Cresswell’s time with the Hammers will almost certainly be over.
